The Ostrý Hotel (755 m) is located in the most significant tourist centre of the western Bohemian Forest
– in the picturesque small mountain town of Železná Ruda in the glamorous surroundings on the edge of the Bohemian Forest
National Park (68,000 ha) - which forms a natural reserve UNESCO together with the adjacent protected landscape area
that covers a total area of 178,000 ha. |

The hotel has a capacity of 69 beds in 25 rooms. All rooms are functionally equipped with practical comfortable furniture,
a television with satellite reception and a telephone, a separate bathroom with a shower bath and a toilet.

The hotel was completely reconstructed in 2003, and it was enlarged by a relaxation centre.
It has already offered its guests quality services in agreeable surroundings for many years.
The location of the hotel in the centre of Železná Ruda is convenient for the spring,
summer and also autumn seasons due to its setting directly on the main tourist and cycle route
linking the Bohemian Forest and the Bavarian Forest as well as for the winter season with the possibility of downhill
and cross-country skiing in the grounds situated in the immediate vicinity.
Thus, it becomes an ideal starting point for the realization of varied sports, tourist and relaxation activities. |

A renowned restaurant “U ZLATÉ KACHNIČKY” (THE LITTLE GOLDEN GOOSE) is part of the hotel which features excellent
Czech and international cuisine supplemented with a wide offer of alcoholic and non - alcoholic beverages including
cocktails and, of course, several kinds of well-treated Czech beer.
There is a main restaurant available for guests with a bar and a dance floor (60 seats),
a separate saloon (30 seats), a summer terrace with a garden (70 seats), a grill, a dance floor and a children's corner.
We provide a comprehensive gastronomic and social service – among others days of international cuisine, pork feasts,
festive menu, banquets, routs, wedding receptions, turnkey company events, cocktails, grill parties, garden parties,
presentations, meetings, workshops, special parties with the use of the summer and winter dance floors, cultural programmes.

entertainment – discos, etc. We also arrange for the booking of tennis courts, a squash court, a fitness centre,
a bowling alley, motor scooters and quadricycles or slalom karts for a downhill ride (two tracks).
Visits to the longest slot racing track in the CR. Lease of halls – multipurpose gymnasiums 24 x 12 m2
and 18 x 7 m2 inclusive of necessary equipment. |
